Hi, I’m Alaina Fox! I’m a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Mississippi Licensed Behavior Analyst, and special education teacher with master’s degrees in Applied Behavior Analysis and Education, specializing in Learning and Behavior Disorders.My experience spans behavior analysis, special education, social-emotional learning, parent coaching, and community-based programming. I also have training in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience supporting individuals who use AAC.After working with children and families in Florida and Kentucky, I now call the Mississippi Gulf Coast home. Hello! I’m Alaina Fox, and I’m passionate about supporting families and helping children thrive. My goal isn’t simply to earn your trust — it’s to ensure you feel confident that your child is supported by someone who brings both professional expertise and genuine compassion to the work.I hold a Master of Science in Applied Behavior Analysis with a concentration in Education from Capella University and a Master of Arts in Education with a focus on Learning and Behavior Disorders from Georgetown College. I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Licensed Behavior Analyst in Mississippi, allowing me to provide behavior-analytic services to children and families throughout the state.I also hold teaching certifications in both Florida and Mississippi, including Special Education/ESE K–12, Elementary Education K–6, and Reading, giving me a unique perspective at the intersection of behavior, learning, and the realities of the classroom.Additionally, I have formal training in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience supporting individuals who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). These experiences have strengthened my commitment to meeting each child where they are and creating individualized, practical support that works for both the child and the people who care for them.

Experience in EducationMy professional journey has been both broad and hands-on. I began my work in behavior analysis as a Registered Behavior Technician before becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, providing behavior support in schools and educational settings. I have also served as a Special Education Teacher in Florida, Kentucky, and now Mississippi, working with students across a variety of abilities, learning needs, and educational environments.That combination of classroom teaching and behavior analysis has shaped the way I approach support. Behavior doesn’t happen in isolation, and neither does learning. I believe the most meaningful progress happens when we consider the whole child, the environment around them, and the people supporting them every day.Rooted on the Mississippi Gulf CoastMy fiancé grew up on the Gulf Coast and graduated from Gulfport High School, and today both of our families call this area home. What began as a move to be closer to family has quickly become an opportunity to put down roots and become part of the community ourselves.Since moving to Mississippi, I have continued my work in public education, become a Licensed Behavior Analyst in Mississippi, and expanded The Mother Fox’s involvement in the community through social-emotional learning programs, family-focused events, and partnerships with local organizations.I’m excited to continue finding ways for The Mother Fox to serve children and families throughout the Mississippi Gulf Coast.Passion for Education & Behavior SupportAt the heart of my work is a belief that effective support should be both evidence-based and realistic. What to Expect

Comprehensive Behavior Support

  1. Introductory Consultation – A free 15-minute phone chat to discuss your child’s needs, answer your questions, and determine if this package is the right fit.

  2. Intake & Assessment – We gather information through interviews, observations, and input from home or school to understand the root of challenging behaviors.

  3. Behavior Plan Development – Based on the assessment, I create a custom Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) tailored to your child’s unique needs and your family’s goals.

  4. Parent Training Session – A 60-minute session to guide you through the plan, including practical strategies you can implement right away.

  5. Support & Follow-Up – Up to two weeks of email support for clarification, guidance, and troubleshooting as you begin using the plan. (Email support is intended for brief questions and clarification, not ongoing coaching.)

  6. Next Steps – After completing the package, families can choose to continue with ongoing coaching, additional sessions, or SEL courses to support long-term progress

Social Emotional Learning Course

  1. Introductory Connection – A brief conversation to learn about your child, your goals, and determine which SEL course or format is the best fit for your family.

  2. Enrollment & Readiness Check – We gather basic background information, identify current strengths and interests, and ensure the sessions are developmentally appropriate.

  3. SEL Learning Pathway – Your child is placed into a structured SEL pathway focused on key skills such as emotional regulation, communication, flexibility, and social problem-solving.

  4. Sessions Begin – Sessions may take place virtually, in-home, or in small groups and include interactive activities, modeling, and real-life practice.

  5. Skill Practice & Reinforcement – Children practice skills in a supportive environment while caregivers receive simple strategies to reinforce learning at home.

  6. Progress Monitoring & Growth – We review progress regularly, celebrate wins, and adjust activities or goals to support continued growth, confidence, and well-being.

  7. Full Program Bonus: Families completing the full 8-session program also receive access to the online Compassion Project (EVERFI) course, perfectly paired to reinforce learning between sessions.

Designed for families seeking professional guidance and a structured, practical approach to challenging behavior.
This package includes:

Social Emotional Learning Series

Helping children build the skills to understand themselves, connect with others, and navigate everyday challenges with confidence.
The Mother Fox offers engaging, age-appropriate Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) sessions for children in Grades 1–5. Through stories, games, discussion, and hands-on activities, children learn skills they can practice at home, at school, and in their communities.

Sometimes families simply need an extra set of trusted hands. The Mother Fox offers flexible childcare for families who need occasional, reliable support outside of our educational and behavior consulting services.

Extra Hands: An additional set of hands at home while you work, tackle projects, care for siblings, or simply need some breathing room.
Child Outings: Supervised trips to parks, libraries, community activities, or other age-appropriate outings.
